Ingredients

  • 1 cup sesame seeds (til)
  • 3/4 cup grated jaggery
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Step-by-step

Roasting sesame
Step 1 — Roast sesame seeds

Dry roast til until golden and aromatic.

Melting jaggery
Step 2 — Melt jaggery

Heat jaggery with ghee until it melts smoothly.

Mixing til ladoo mix
Step 3 — Combine mixture

Add roasted til and cardamom. Mix quickly.

Shaping laddus
Step 4 — Shape laddus

Grease hands with ghee and roll warm mixture into laddus.

Til laddus
Step 5 — Cool & store

Cool completely and store airtight for up to 2 weeks.

Tips & Variations

  • Add peanuts for crunch.
  • Do not overheat jaggery or laddus will become hard.
  • Add desiccated coconut for a South Indian twist.
