Ingredients
- 1 cup sesame seeds (til)
- 3/4 cup grated jaggery
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
Step-by-step
Step 1 — Roast sesame seeds
Dry roast til until golden and aromatic.
Step 2 — Melt jaggery
Heat jaggery with ghee until it melts smoothly.
Step 3 — Combine mixture
Add roasted til and cardamom. Mix quickly.
Step 4 — Shape laddus
Grease hands with ghee and roll warm mixture into laddus.
Step 5 — Cool & store
Cool completely and store airtight for up to 2 weeks.
Tips & Variations
- Add peanuts for crunch.
- Do not overheat jaggery or laddus will become hard.
- Add desiccated coconut for a South Indian twist.
