Ingredients
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 green chilli (optional)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Step-by-step
Step 1 — Prep spinach
Wash and chop spinach finely.
Step 2 — Sauté onion
Heat oil, add cumin and onions. Cook until soft.
Step 3 — Add tomatoes
Add tomatoes, ginger-garlic, spices and salt; cook until mushy.
Step 4 — Add spinach
Add chopped spinach and let it wilt completely.
Step 5 — Simmer
Cook for 4–5 minutes until blended. Serve hot.
Tips & Variations
- Add garlic tadka for stronger flavour.
- Do not overcook spinach — it turns dark.
- Add moong dal for extra protein.
