Ingredients
- 2 cups wheat flour (aata)
- 1 cup grated jaggery
- ½ cup ghee
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped dry fruits
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
Step-by-step
Step 1 — Roast the flour
Heat ghee in a pan. Add wheat flour and roast on low flame till golden and aromatic.
Step 2 — Add jaggery
Switch off the flame. Add grated jaggery and mix well so it melts evenly.
Step 3 — Add nuts & cardamom
Mix in chopped dry fruits, sesame seeds and cardamom powder.
Step 4 — Shape laddus
Grease hands with a little ghee. While warm, roll mixture into laddus.
Tips & Variations
- Add gond (edible resin) for extra warmth and energy.
- For kids, reduce jaggery and increase ghee for softness.
- Store in airtight container for 10–12 days.
