Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour (aata)
  • 1 cup grated jaggery
  • ½ cup ghee
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped dry fruits
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder

Step-by-step

Roasting flour
Step 1 — Roast the flour

Heat ghee in a pan. Add wheat flour and roast on low flame till golden and aromatic.

Mix jaggery
Step 2 — Add jaggery

Switch off the flame. Add grated jaggery and mix well so it melts evenly.

Add dry fruits
Step 3 — Add nuts & cardamom

Mix in chopped dry fruits, sesame seeds and cardamom powder.

Roll laddus
Step 4 — Shape laddus

Grease hands with a little ghee. While warm, roll mixture into laddus.

Tips & Variations

  • Add gond (edible resin) for extra warmth and energy.
  • For kids, reduce jaggery and increase ghee for softness.
  • Store in airtight container for 10–12 days.
